As a participant, you have access to a full range of services to help you land your next job. Your employment counselor will talk with you about your goals and plans and help you access what you need to enhance or develop the skills that employers want today.

One of the following:  underemployed or unemployed, eligible for unemployment insurance, self-employed with proof of business failure, eligible to work in the US.  Determined case-by-case basis.


Youth WIOA Program | Program ongoing
Hired

Hired advocates for youth and young adults ages 14-24 through counseling and support often needed to complete a GED or diploma, and gain employment or to think through career choices.  Support includes Educational Assistance, Workplace Readiness and Job Placement, Internships, and Wraparound Support Services. 

Youth and young adults must be at or below certain income level, be between ages 14-24, and meet one or more of the following criteria: homeless, foster care, offender, disabled, basic skills deficient, pregnant or parenting.  


Medical Manufacturing | Program starts TBD. Enroll by early May.
Monday-Thursday from 10:00 am-4:00pm for four weeks (in-person Brooklyn Center) | Hired

Medical Call Center | Program starts May 20. Enroll by early May.
Monday-Thursday from 9:30 am-1:30pm for eight weeks (in-person/hybrid) | Hired

Prepare for a career working in health insurance, a clinic, or hospital. Join now!

High school diploma/GED. One year recent customer service. Ability to pass DHS background check. Low-income household preferred.


Office Administration | Program starts May 20. Enroll by early May.
Monday-Thursday from 9:30 am-2:30pm for eight weeks (in-person/hybrid) | Hired

Prepare for a career working in an office environment. Join now!

High school diploma/GED. Six months working in an admin position or some college. Typing 30 WPM. Some experience with Microsoft Office. Low-income household preferred.

A customizable career program training, for those who are looking to discover their next steps professionally. During the program you will uncover the transferable skills you have and how to use them in a professional setting. Upon successful completion of program requirements, you will receive a certificate from Dakota Technical College. Join now!

At least 18 years old. Willing and able to work full-time. Meet income requirements. We do work with criminal backgrounds (No criminal sexual conduct or arson charges).

Diesel Tech | Program starts May 28. Enroll by May 22.
Monday-Friday from 3:00-7:30pm for eight weeks | Twin Cities Rise

*RAMSEY COUNTY RESINDENTS AGES 18-30 YEARS OLD - Inspect, repair, overhaul and or maintain diesel engines. This training will teach you diesel technician fundamentals including preventative maintenance, diagnostic systems and engine troubleshooting plus so much more. Classes are held in person at St. Paul College where after successful completion you will have an opportunity to interview at an employer who are ready to hire entry level technicians. Upon successful completion of program requirements, you will receive a certificate from St. Paul College. Join now!

Facilities Maintenance Specialist | Program starts July 8. Enroll by July 3.
Monday-Friday from 9:00am-1:30pm for eight weeks | Twin Cities Rise

In the Facilities Maintenance Specialist training you will learn the fundamentals of maintaining the operations of facilities such as apartment complexes, warehouse, etc. You will learn the basics of blueprint reading, operation of hand-tools and receive your OSHA 30 certification and a completion certificate from Century College.
